Welcome, Beautiful Beings of Light, to another Mindfulness Monday.
Your mindfulness awareness practice from Monday to Monday.
This is going to be a timeless message, so whenever you are hearing it, reading it, it will be coming to you in divine timing.
As always, this is a general reading, so please only take what resonates and leave the rest for whom they need it.
Understanding Unbalanced Emotions
The first card in this reading is Balanced Emotions.
The Balanced Emotions card is coming in upside down as an awareness.
The awareness that's being asked here today is to know where your emotions are rooted.
It's really important when we're trying to balance our emotions that we understand what's stemming or fueling our emotions.
Are you being triggered because the events are similar to past experiences?
Are you repeating the same cycles that you have been in?
This is really asking you to check in with why you're experiencing the emotions that you are, the chaotic emotions that are spiraling within you.
There's also this feeling and opportunity here to surrender to your emotions.
To really sink into those emotions and understand where they're coming from. That they just need to be acknowledged, witnessed, and observed.
Sometimes balancing our emotions has nothing to do with letting go or releasing but actually seeing them for what they are.
When we see our emotions for what they are, we have an opportunity to understand them in a deeper and more complex way.
When we start to see the more complex, deeper understanding of our emotions. We start to see and understand that they're not that complicated. That the situation is actually simpler than we had perceived it to be.
But because our emotions got so inflamed, we lost sight of what was actually happening.
When we come to terms with the need to balance our emotions by understanding the root and complexity, then we see the simplicity of the emotion itself.
We start to unlock the healing energies within those emotions,
Transforming Emotions into Healing
Which leads us into our next card, Healing Energy.
This card is coming in as a reminder to let you know that the more that you can understand and observe your emotions, (not in the first person, but from an outsider's perspective) the more you can analyze, (and that's not even the right word,) or observe and understand the complexity (or simplicity) of what is happening.
I'll use a story as an example of understanding the complex emotions I was having when I finally saw the story as a narrator instead of the main character. I saw the full picture unfold in front of me. [It transformed my healing.]
Allowing me to have more grace, compassion and understanding for what was really happening.
At 27 years old, I had not been speaking to my mother. I was done with her narcissistic ways, her torment that she placed [on me] and all the blame [wrongs] of her life on me.
I could never understand how we went from such a loving relationship until the age of six. All of a sudden, my mother thought that having physical connection with a child was deemed inappropriate.
My father, being the person he was, finally told me a story that I had never heard.
When my mom was about seven or eight, she ran and jumped on the lap of her father.
Her father, being an ex-fighter pilot from World War II and a drunk with severe traumas, decided to jump up and throw my mother to the floor.
He exclaimed, “you're too old for this sh*t. You're too old to be coddled like a child.”
This story opened up so much understanding and created such a simplistic view of how my mother grew up. The traumas that she was dealing with. It that had opened space for me to forgive her for not having that emotional connection that I desired. She just simply didn't know how to because she was told that it was inappropriate.
That is a wound she carried with her [all her life] and still carries with her to this day.
Because I'm able to have more compassion and grace for her, it does not excuse all the horrible things that she did. But it gives me a space of understanding that allowed a piece of me to heal from the trauma of not having that love and compassion from a mother.
When we start to see the roots of our emotions and understand them, we can transform them into healing energy.
We can transform the hurt of our ego by seeing the full picture of what actually is happening.
BUT we must remember to take ourselves out of the main character and observe ourselves [our story] as the narrator instead.
Escaping Emotional Chaos
Which brings us to our last card, which is Resilience.
Ah, Resilience. Here we go again. I'm curious to see how often this card will repeat itself.
This card, with the fox on it again, is asking you to see the alternative routes, to be that cunning fox. To understand how to move and operate in a different form that will become transformative. That will allow you to “escape” the emotional chaos that is swirling within you.
Balancing the emotions of your being is less about suffering through them, pushing them down, or just simply letting go, this is about transforming them.
That is what Resilience is, is transforming the situation into a different way.
It's not about pushing through. It's about transformation.
And that's what we're all looking for… transformation creates healing energy.
Recap
The mindfulness practice for this week is going to be pausing, checking in with those emotions.
Where are the roots of that emotion stemming from?
Is the situation you're [currently] in really causing the influx of chaotic, swirling emotions?
Or is there deeper meaning behind it?
Allowing that pause to become the opportunity to be the narrator, to see the full perspective. Become the cunning fox observing how to transform or find the new path that will allow those emotions to become an understanding.

Until next time, have a magical, balanced week.
Meditation/Journal Prompt
Emotions will be running high this week.
When emotions overspill. Excuse yourself to be alone.
Once you’re alone, take three deep breaths. When you breath in raise your shoulders to your ears, then exhale thrusting your shoulders down, while imagining the weight to falling to the ground.
Now that you’re lighter, drop into your awareness to your Solar Plexus (the energy space where your rib cage connects).
Open your awareness to the feelings that are sitting there.
What emotions are floating there?
Can you name them?
Do your emotions feel new or bigger?
Are your emotions connected?
Ask yourself:
Am I only upset about this situation?
Are my emotions directed at the right situation?
Are my emotions asking me to see a cycle?
Will you show me the last time all these emotions swirled together?
Journal the experience.
